Shaadi.com vs Jeevansathi has no fixed winner. Both let you make a free profile and send interests without paying, and both keep their paid prices behind a login, as we found on 15 October 2026. The better one for you is the one that shows more suitable profiles in your own free search, so try both for two weeks before paying either.

Make a free profile on both. Use the same biodata details and the same filters on each. After 14 days, compare three numbers in a notebook: how many matching profiles you found, how many interests you received, and how many families replied.

Your own search is the best test. A family in Indore looking for a Maheshwari boy and a family in Coimbatore looking for a Gounder girl will get very different results on the same site. Put in your real filters, the same on both sites, and count.

Is BharatMatrimony Better for South Indians?

BharatMatrimony is the third big name in this search. Its pages blocked our checks on 15 October 2026, so we cannot quote its plans or prices here.

The same test applies. Make a free profile, search with your filters for two weeks, and compare the count with the other two. Read the plan and refund terms on its own site before paying.

Pricing and Plans

Neither site showed a price on its public plans page when we checked. Shaadi.com showed plan names and month options with no amounts. Jeevansathi's page said, "You must be logged in to see detailed plans and prices", and was showing a "Flash Deal".

So the cheaper site is the one whose logged-in price is lower for the length you need. Note these before paying:

1. The price for the length you want, say 3 months, and what it works out to per month.
2. How many contact numbers you can view in that time. Jeevansathi lists 20 contact views on Pro Lite and Pro.
3. Whether the plan renews on its own.
4. The refund terms, in full.

Jeevansathi's 30-day refund needs you to send 10 genuine interests, view no contact, and have a full profile with a photo. It does not cover assisted services or add-ons like Kundali Milan, and it can be used once.

Verification and Safety

Jeevansathi's home page lists "100% Screened Profiles" and phone number verification. Shaadi.com sells "verified contact details" with its premium plans. Both mean the site has checked something, usually a phone number. Neither means anyone has checked the person's salary or past marriage.

What Users Say, and How to Read It

Reddit threads and app store reviews are worth reading, with some care. People mostly write a review when something went wrong, so the picture is never balanced.

Read reviews from the last three months only. Apps change, and so do refund rules. Read the one-star and three-star reviews, not just five-star ones. And look for complaints that repeat. One angry person proves little. Twenty people saying the same thing about refunds or sales calls tells you to read the refund terms twice.

Both sites let you search for profiles living abroad. Check how many turn up in your search for the country you want, say the USA or Australia, on each site.
