Simple Biodata Format for Marriage
A simple biodata format for marriage is one page with only the details families ask for first: name, birth details, height, education, job, star, parents, siblings, native place and a phone number. Leave the optional fields out, choose a plain design, and download it free as a PDF or an image.
What Does "Simple" Mean for a Marriage Biodata?
Simple means short and easy to read. A 70-year-old grandfather should be able to read it without his glasses hunting for the date of birth. Plain fonts, one photo, no long paragraphs.
It does not mean leaving out what the other side needs. A biodata without the time of birth gets a phone call asking for it. So a simple biodata keeps the basics and drops the extras.
The Fields a Simple Biodata Needs
These 15 fields cover what most families look at in the first round. All of them are in our form.
- Full Name
- Date of Birth
- Time of Birth
- Place of Birth
- Height
- Religion
- Caste / Community
- Education
- Job / Occupation
- Rasi and Nakshatra (filled in for you from the birth details)
- Father's Name and occupation
- Mother's Name and occupation
- Brothers and Sisters
- Native Place
- Mobile Number
Leave out Hobbies, Property, Complexion, Annual Income and the rest until someone asks. If your family does not match horoscopes, drop item 10 too.
A Simple Sample, Filled In

Thirteen lines. We left Caste / Community out of this sample, but fill it the way your family usually writes it. A relative can read all of it in under a minute.
Should You Pick a Simple or a Decorated Design?
Pick a simple design when the biodata will be printed in black and white, read by elders, or sent to a broker who passes on dozens of biodatas a week. Pick a decorated one, like Kanjivaram Zari or Temple Bell, when the family wants something that looks festive on a phone screen.
| You want | Choose |
|---|---|
| Clear print on a home printer | Ivory Line or Classic Band |
| A calm, modern look for a working professional | Sage Soft or Navy Line |
| Something for a church wedding enquiry | Linen Classic |
| Plenty of colour and border | See the decorated designs in the full format guide |
Can a Marriage Biodata Be Just One Page?
Yes. With only the fields above and no About Me, the biodata stays short. The preview shows exactly how many pages your biodata takes before you download, so you can trim a field if it spills over.
Can I Send It as Plain Text?
You can, and some families do paste details straight into WhatsApp. The trouble is that text loses its line breaks when forwarded and looks different on every phone. A one-page image keeps everything in place. Send the image, and if someone asks for text, copy the 15 lines above with your details. For printing, download it as an A4 PDF.
How to Make a Simple Biodata Here
- Start with a plain design such as Ivory Line.
- Choose "This Biodata Is For: Male / Female" and enter the Full Name.
- Verify your mobile number once with the SMS code.
- Fill only the default fields and do not add the optional ones.
- Look at the preview, then use Download PDF or Download Image.
A free download prints a small line, "Made free at hellobiodata.com", at the foot of the page. Everything else on the page is yours.

Common Questions
Is a Simple Biodata Enough for a Traditional Family?
For the first round, yes. Traditional families want the star, the parents and the native place, and the simple format has all three. They will ask for the full horoscope later if the match moves ahead.
Which Simple Design Prints Best in Black and White?
Our simple designs, such as Ivory Line and Classic Band, carry less decoration, so there is less colour to turn grey on a black and white printer. Check the preview before printing.
Should a Simple Biodata Have a Photo?
It can. Every design, plain ones included, has one passport-size photo box. You can also leave the photo out.
Can I Add More Details Later Without Starting Again?
Yes. The biodata is saved on your mobile number. Open it again, add a field such as Hobbies or Annual Income, and download a fresh copy.
