Muslim Marriage Biodata Format

A Muslim marriage biodata for a rishta covers personal details, education, work, family, sect and a short note on deen and expectations, with no horoscope section. On Hello Biodata the header prints 786 when the religion is Muslim, and the biodata can print in Urdu or English.

How Is a Muslim Biodata Different?

A Muslim biodata has no rasi, nakshatra or other horoscope lines. When you choose Muslim as the Religion, the horoscope section does not print by default, and the header shows 786.

The space goes to the details a rishta needs instead: sect and maslak, how the family practises, education, work, and the family's background. Three of our free designs suit a nikah biodata: Emerald Arch, Mughal Jali and Navy Line. There is also one premium design.

How Do You Write Sect and Maslak?

Our form has no separate sect field. Write it in Caste / Community, where the other side will look for it. Keep it short.

How the family identifiesWhat to write
Sunni, Hanafi schoolSunni (Hanafi)
Sunni, DeobandiSunni (Deobandi)
Sunni, BarelviSunni (Barelvi)
Ahle HadeesAhle Hadees
ShiaShia (Ithna Ashari)
Dawoodi BohraDawoodi Bohra
Memon or KhojaMemon, or Khoja, with the jamaat if it matters

If the family has a biradari (such as Syed, Pathan, Ansari or Qureshi) and wants it known, add it after the sect: "Sunni (Hanafi), Syed". If not, leave it out.

Open to another sect? Say so in About Me: "Open to proposals from any Sunni maslak." One line is enough.

What to Write About Deen and Practice

Write what is true for the person, in plain words. Families usually ask about namaz, Quran reading, hijab for a girl and beard for a boy. A line such as "Prays five times, reads Quran daily" tells the other family more than "religious minded".

Do not write mahr expectations on the biodata. That is discussed between the families later, not on a document that may be forwarded.

Should a Muslim Biodata Have a Photo?

It is the family's choice. Every design has one passport-size photo box. You can upload a photo with hijab, crop it to fit, or leave the photo out and share it later with families you trust.

Whose Contact Should Go on the Biodata?

Put the father, a brother or the wali as Contact Person, with his Mobile Number. This is common for a girl's biodata, and it keeps her own number private. Address can be just the area and city, such as Tolichowki, Hyderabad.

Can It Print in Urdu?

Yes. Type in English and choose Urdu as the print language. You can also choose English, Hindi or any of the 12 languages, which helps if the rishta is from a family that reads only English.

Common Questions

Does a Muslim Biodata Need a Date and Time of Birth?

The date of birth, yes, because it gives the age. The time of birth is not needed, since there is no horoscope. You can leave Time of Birth empty.

Can I Start the Biodata with Bismillah?

The header prints 786 for a Muslim biodata. That is the symbol our designs use. You can write a line in About Me if the family wants more.

Should a Divorced or Widowed Muslim Woman Mention It?

Yes. Add the Marital Status field and fill it, then add one plain line in About Me if needed, such as "One son, aged 6, lives with me". Families respect a straight answer.

Which Designs Suit a Nikah Biodata?

Emerald Arch, Mughal Jali and Navy Line are free and suit a Muslim biodata. One premium design does too. The previews at the top of this page show them filled with sample details.
