Gujarati Marriage Biodata Maker
A Gujarati marriage biodata carries the usual birth, study, work and family details, plus the lines Gujarati families read first. The atak (surname) and gnati, the mosal and the mool vatan. Our maker prints all the labels in Gujarati while you type in English, and the download is free.
What Goes in a Gujarati Marriage Biodata?
Four blocks, the same as everywhere: personal details, janmakshar (horoscope) details, family details and contact. A Gujarati biodata differs in how the lines are written and which ones elders look at first.
The name comes first, and it follows the Gujarati order of own name, father's name and atak: Hetal Mukeshbhai Thakkar. The father's name usually carries the "bhai", and a mother's name the "ben". Write it that way on the biodata too. Gujarati readers expect it.
Then the gnati. Many Gujarati families look for a match inside their own gnati or sub-gnati, so they write it exactly: Lohana, Leuva Patel, Dasha Shrimali Vanik, Audichya Brahmin. Our form prints this line as gnati / samaj on a Gujarati biodata. Fill it the way your family says it, or remove the line if it does not matter to you.
Mosal, Mool Vatan and Kuldevi
Three family lines carry a lot of weight in Gujarati homes.
Mosal is the mother's side, the mama's home. Elders place a family through its mosal as much as through its own surname, so many biodatas carry one line like "Mosal: Kiritbhai Majithia, Jetpur". In our form, add Maternal Uncle from Add More Details in the family section. If you want the line to read mosal, use Rename from the three-dot menu.
Mool vatan is the family's native town or village. Write it even if the family has lived in Ahmedabad, Surat or Mumbai for thirty years. Our Native Place field prints under the Gujarati words for mool vatan, so nothing needs changing.
Kuldevi is the family goddess. Not every family writes her name, but those who do want it on the biodata. There is no ready field, so add one with Add Your Own Field.
For a parent who has passed away, write "Sva." before the name. Everyone understands it.

Chevvai / Manglik is left out because that answer should come from the family's own janmakshar. On a Gujarati biodata the four choices print as chhe, nathi, anshik and khabar nathi.
A boy from a business family should write the business plainly in Job / Occupation, for example "Textile wholesale with father, Surat, since 2018". Turnover figures can wait for the first meeting.
How the Gujarati Language Setting Works
There is no need to type Gujarati. Fill the form in English, then choose Gujarati in the Biodata Language box, the first thing in "Top of the Biodata".
On the biodata, every heading and label changes to Gujarati script. The items you pick from a list change too: rashi, nakshatra, lagna, religion, diet, marital status, family type and height. The date prints as 09-02-1999 in English digits, and the time of birth carries the Gujarati word for morning or night.
What you type prints exactly as typed. "B.Pharm" and "Pharmacist, private hospital" stay in English letters. If you want Hetal's name in Gujarati script, switch the phone keyboard to Gujarati and type it.

Header Lines Gujarati Families Pick
With the Ganesha symbol, a Gujarati biodata starts with the Ganesha line on. The Gujarati lines in our list are:
- ॥ શ્રી ગણેશાય નમઃ ॥
- ॥ શ્રી ॥
- ॥ જય શ્રી કૃષ્ણ ॥
- ॥ જય માતાજી ॥
- ॥ જય સ્વામિનારાયણ ॥
- ॥ શ્રીજી ॥
For the title you can pick લગ્ન બાયોડેટા, લગ્ન માટે બાયોડેટા, બાયોડેટા or પરિચય પત્ર. A Jain family choosing Jain as the religion gets the Navkar line in Gujarati script, and the Jain marriage biodata page covers sect and Jain food.
Samaj Booklets, WhatsApp Groups and NRI Families
Many Gujarati samaj bodies print a parichay pustika for their yearly parichay mela, and they ask for a one-page biodata with a photo. Give them the PDF. For gnati WhatsApp groups, send the image, which opens on any phone.
Families in the US, UK or Canada should add Current City from the contact section, like "New Jersey, USA". Visa or green card status has no ready field. Add it with Add Your Own Field, since the other side usually asks early. Some NRI families keep two copies, one in Gujarati for elders at home and one in English.
Patel families have their own page, the Patel marriage biodata, with the Leuva and Kadva lines.

Can I Download a Gujarati Marriage Biodata as a PDF?
