A good marriage biodata maker app prints in your language, shows the price before you start, asks for only the permissions it needs, and gives a sharp A4 PDF. Check its Data safety section on the Play Store before installing. Never install a "mod" APK from outside the store.
For a one-time job like a biodata, a biodata website that works in the phone browser is often simpler than an app.
We should say upfront that Hello Biodata is a website, not a Play Store app. It works in Chrome or Safari on any phone. We explain the trade-off honestly below.
Six Checks for Any Biodata App
Run these before you type your son's or daughter's real details.
| Check | What to look for |
|---|---|
| Language | Do labels and the rasi and nakshatra names print in Hindi, Tamil, Marathi or your language, or only the heading? |
| Price | Is the price shown before you fill the form, or only at the download button? |
| Ads | Are there full-screen ads between steps? They make a 15-minute job take 40 |
| Permissions | Does it ask for contacts, call logs or location? A biodata app does not need them |
| PDF quality | Download a test PDF and zoom in. Text should be sharp, the page A4 |
| Your data | Is there a privacy policy with a company name, and a way to delete your biodata? |
The simple way to test is with a dummy name, like "Test Kumar", and a made-up date of birth. Go straight to the download. You will know in five minutes whether the app is worth your time.
Reading the Data Safety Section
Every app on Google Play has a Data safety section on its store page. Google's help page on the Data safety section says it shows what data the app collects and why, and whether it shares data with other companies. It also shows the app's security practices and how to ask for your data to be deleted.
For a biodata app, look for three things there:
- It should collect only what a biodata needs: name, birth details, photo, phone number.
- It should say clearly whether data is shared with third parties, such as advertisers.
- It should offer a way to delete your data.
That last point will also be your legal right in India. Section 12 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 lets you ask a company to correct or erase your personal data. That section starts only around May 2027, 18 months after the DPDP Rules were notified in November 2025, as the Press Information Bureau explains.
Until then, the app's own delete option is what you can count on. An app with no email address or delete option makes removing your data hard.
On an iPhone, the App Store shows a similar "App Privacy" section on each app page.
Permissions to Say No To
A biodata app needs access to your photos, to add the picture. It may need storage, to save the PDF. That is about all.
If an app asks for your contacts, call history, SMS or location, say no, or uninstall it. A biodata maker has no reason to read your contacts.
Why to Avoid Mod APKs
A "mod APK" is a changed copy of a paid app, shared on websites outside the Play Store, usually promising premium features for free. For a biodata app, the risk is not worth the small amount you might save.
These files do not go through the Play Store's checks. They can carry hidden code that reads your messages or steals banking OTPs, and you will be handing the same app your child's photo and birth details. If you lose money through such an app, the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal lists helpline 1930 for financial cyber fraud.
Install apps only from the Play Store or the App Store.
App or Website on the Phone?
Both work. The difference is in what stays on your phone afterwards.
| App | Website in the browser | |
|---|---|---|
| Install | Yes, takes storage | No |
| Works offline | Some apps, partly | No, needs internet while filling |
| Ads | Common in free apps | Depends on the site |
| Updates | Through the store | Always the latest version |
| Permissions | Asked at install or use | Only for the photo you pick |
| After the biodata is done | Uninstall, or it stays | Nothing to remove |
Most families make a biodata once, maybe edit it twice. For that, a website is usually enough.
How Hello Biodata Fits on the Same Checks
Here is our own maker on the six checks, as of 15 October 2026.
| Check | Hello Biodata |
|---|---|
| Language | Prints in 12 languages. Labels, rasi and nakshatra names print in your language. Type in English or your language |
| Price | 63 of 66 designs download free. Biodata Plus, ₹29 once, removes the small credit line and opens the 3 premium designs |
| Ads | No full-screen ads between steps. A few screens show horoscope report offers from RaniAstro |
| Permissions | It is a website. The browser asks only when you pick a photo |
| PDF quality | A4 PDF for printing, plus one JPG holding every page for WhatsApp. After the download, a free editable Word file is offered too |
| Your data | Saved on your verified mobile number. "Delete my saved biodata" removes every biodata and photo on that number |
And what it does not do: there is no Play Store or App Store app and no offline mode. You verify your mobile number with an SMS code before the first download. The free download prints "Made free at hellobiodata.com" in small letters at the foot of the page.
If that suits you, see how the PDF looks or start from the free marriage biodata maker on our home page. Our guide to making a biodata on mobile has the steps, and how to choose the best biodata maker has a longer test for any tool.
Common questions
Which Is the Best Marriage Biodata Maker App?
The one that prints your language correctly, shows the price early, asks for few permissions and gives a sharp PDF. Test two or three with a dummy name and keep the one that passes.
Is There a Free Biodata App Without Ads?
Some free apps have few ads, and some have many. Check recent reviews on the store page, then try it with a dummy name.
Are Mod Biodata Apps Safe?
No. Mod APKs come from outside the Play Store, skip its checks and can carry harmful code. Install only from the official store.
Which App Supports Marathi or Hindi?
Many claim to. Make a test biodata in your language and check that the labels and star names print in that script, not only the heading. If you were looking for a Marathi biodata maker app, our website does the same job in the phone browser: choose Marathi as the biodata language, and the labels and the rasi and nakshatra names print in Marathi.
Do I Need an App to Make a Biodata on My Phone?
No. A biodata website in Chrome or Safari works the same and leaves nothing installed.
