How to Choose the Best Marriage Biodata Maker

How to Choose the Best Marriage Biodata Maker

The best marriage biodata maker prints in your family's language and gives you a clean A4 PDF without asking for money at the last step. It should also work out rasi and nakshatra from the birth time, and let you delete your details later. You can test any maker on these five points in about 10 minutes, before typing a single real detail.

We make one of these tools, so read this page knowing that. We have scored our own maker on the same list further down, including the things it does not do.

How to Judge a Biodata Maker

A biodata maker is a website or app where you fill a form and it lays your details out on a printed design. The design is the easy part. What separates one maker from another is what happens at the download step and after it.

These are the five checks we would use for any maker, ours included:

CheckWhat to look forWhy it matters to a family
LanguageDo the labels, rasi and nakshatra names print in Tamil, Hindi, Marathi or your language?Grandparents and the family astrologer often read only their own script
Free downloadCan you download the full biodata free, and what is printed on the free copy? Some tools show the price only after you have typed everything
HoroscopeDoes it work out rasi, nakshatra and lagna from date, time and place of birth?A wrong star on the biodata causes confusion at the matching stage
Phone useCan you fill the whole form on a phone without zooming and dragging boxes? Many parents make the biodata on a mobile, not a laptop
Your dataIs there a privacy policy, a delete option and a named company behind it?The biodata carries a photo and exact birth details, with a phone number beside them

Design count is missing from this list on purpose. Ten good designs are enough. A gallery of 300 designs does not help if the one you like prints the nakshatra wrongly.

The Four Kinds of Biodata Tools

Families in India make biodatas in four ways today. Each has a place.

ToolGood forWatch for
Online biodata maker (website)Fill a form and get a finished layout in minutesYou may need to verify a mobile number. Check what the free copy carries
Biodata app from the Play StoreFamilies who like to keep everything in one appRead the app's "Data safety" section on the Play Store before you install
A general design app or websiteVery decorative layoutsYou place every line and the photo by hand, and fix alignment yourself
A Word or Google Docs templateFull control on a laptopLines and the photo often shift when the file opens on another phone

If you use a Word template, convert it to PDF before you send it. A PDF looks the same on every phone, from the boy's mother in Madurai to a cousin in Dubai.

We have not ranked other makers by name here. Their free plans and prices change often, and a ranking we cannot keep checking would mislead you within a few months. The checks above will still work next year.

Is There a Free Marriage Biodata Maker Online?

Yes. Several online makers let you make and download a biodata for free, but "free" can mean different things.

Ask three questions. Is the download itself free, or only the form? Is anything printed on the free copy, like a logo or a website name, and how big is it? And does the price appear before you start, or only after you have filled every field? That last one is a poor surprise for a parent who has just spent 20 minutes typing.

The simple test is to fill only a dummy name, say "Test Kumar", and go straight to the download button. If the price or the watermark appears there, you know before investing your time.

Which Makers Print in Marathi, Hindi or Tamil?

Look for two things. First, the labels themselves ("Date of Birth", "Father's Name") should print in your script. Second, the rasi and nakshatra names should come out in that language too, as Mesha, Kanni or Uttaradam, the way your community writes them.

A language option can mean only the heading changes while every label stays in English. Make a test biodata in your language and look at the preview before you trust it.

Typing is a separate question. Check whether you can type values in English and still get the labels in Tamil or Marathi. Most parents find typing in English on the phone keyboard easier.

Which Makers Fill in the Horoscope Details?

A good maker asks for date of birth, time of birth and place of birth, and then works out the rasi, nakshatra and lagna for you. It should also let you type over the result, because your family jothidar's horoscope is the one the other side will match against.

Ask which ayanamsa the tool uses. Lahiri is the one widely used in India. Some Tamil families follow the Vakya panchang, which can give a different star when the birth was close to a star change.

Check the time of birth twice. A night birth at 3:05 am typed as 3:05 pm will change the lagna completely, and the tool cannot catch that mistake for you.

App or Website, Which Is Better?

A website works on any phone and leaves nothing installed. An app can keep your biodata on the phone and may let you work without internet for a while.

For a one-time job like a biodata, a website is usually enough. If you choose an app, open its Play Store page and read "Data safety". It lists what the app collects and whether it shares data with others. Also look at how many permissions it asks for. A biodata app has no reason to read your contacts.

Is It Safe to Put My Details into a Biodata Maker?

It can be, if you check three things first. Is there a privacy policy that names the company and says where data is stored? Is there a way to delete your biodata yourself? Does the policy say clearly whether your details are sold or shared with advertisers?

Section 12 of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives a person the right to ask a company to correct or erase their personal data. That section is not in force yet. The government notified the DPDP Rules in November 2025 with an 18-month phased start, as the Press Information Bureau explains, so these rights begin around May 2027.

Until then, a delete option inside the maker is what you can count on. A maker with no email address or delete option makes removing your data hard.

Also keep a few details out of the biodata whatever tool you use. Aadhaar number, PAN, bank details and the full house address do not belong in a document that may be forwarded to 20 phones in a week.

If your biodata or photo is misused, for example on a fake profile, you can report it on the government's National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. For money lost in an online fraud, the portal lists helpline 1930.

Your dataSaved on your verified mobile number, stored with Supabase in Mumbai. "Delete my saved biodata" removes every biodata and photo on that number

And the things it does not do, so you know before you start:

  • Downloads are a PDF (A4) or one JPG image that holds every page. The editable Word file is not on the preview: it comes on the screen after that download, free with every PDF, and its fonts and spacing can differ a little from the PDF.
  • You must verify your mobile number with an SMS code before the first download.
  • It prints the rasi, nakshatra and lagna values, but no rasi kattam or kundli chart. Send your astrologer's chart as a separate file.
  • When you tap Send OTP, you also agree to receive updates and offers by SMS, WhatsApp or RCS. A small line under the button says so, and there is no box to tick. You can stop the offers any time, as our privacy policy explains.

If that suits you, pick a design and fill in your details. Our guide on how to make a biodata for marriage in 7 steps walks through each part of the form.

A 10-Minute Test for Any Maker

Do this with a dummy name before you type your son's or daughter's real details.

  1. Open the maker on your phone, not a laptop.
  2. Choose your language and type "Test Kumar" with any date of birth, 6:40 am and your home town.
  3. See whether rasi, nakshatra and lagna fill in, and whether they print in your language.
  4. Go straight to the download. Note any price, logo or sign-up that appears.
  5. Open the downloaded PDF on WhatsApp and zoom in. The small text should stay sharp.
  6. Find the privacy policy and the delete option. If you cannot find either in two minutes, move on.

A maker that passes all six is good enough. After that, pick the design your family likes. The best biodata for marriage is the one with correct details, whatever the border looks like.

Common questions

Which Is the Best Marriage Biodata Maker App?

There is no single best app for every family. Pick the one that prints your language correctly, shows the price before you start, and lets you delete your data. Run the 10-minute test above on two or three makers and keep the one that passes.

Do I Need to Pay to Make a Marriage Biodata?

Not necessarily. Several makers, including ours, let you download a biodata free. Check what the free copy carries, such as a logo or a small website line, before you fill the full form.

Can I Make a Biodata Without Giving My Mobile Number?

Some tools allow it and some do not. Hello Biodata asks you to verify a mobile number once, because the biodata is saved on that number so you can edit it later.

Can a Biodata Maker Give Me a Word File?

Some do, and ours does. After you download the PDF or JPG image, the next screen has Download Word File, free with every PDF. It opens in Microsoft Word. Send the PDF to families and keep the Word file to edit. Our page on the marriage biodata PDF explains when to send which.

Should I Trust the Nakshatra a Biodata Maker Calculates?

Trust it only after checking it against your family horoscope. If the two differ, the time of birth is usually a few minutes off, or the horoscope used another panchang. Use the star your family astrologer wrote.

Which Details Should I Never Put in an Online Biodata?

Leave out Aadhaar, PAN, bank details and the full house address. Current City and one parent's mobile number are enough for the first contact.
