How to Write Site Postings and Project Transfers
Site jobs move with the project. A metro line in Bhopal finishes, and the company sends the team to an expressway in Odisha. Elders know this, and they will ask.
Answer it in one short line in About Me:
- Current project in Navi Mumbai ends around March 2028. The company usually posts us in Maharashtra or Gujarat.
- Working on a bridge project near Guwahati. I expect to move back to Kolkata office by 2027.
- My job is office-based in Bengaluru. No site transfers.
If you live in a site camp or a rented room near the project, you can say so. Many girls' families want to know whether a new bride would live at a remote site or in a city. Be honest about it. A family that is fine with site life will stay. One that is not will step back early, which saves time for both sides.
Writing Income for a Civil Engineer

Site allowance and free accommodation are real money. If they are a large part of your pay, one line covers it: "Site allowance and company quarters extra". Do not add every perk. A biodata is not a salary slip.
Contractors have uneven years. Give the average of two or three years, not the best year. Families compare numbers, and a figure that turns out to be your best ever looks bad later.
Degree and Licence Details
Write the degree, the branch and the college in the Education field: "B.E. Civil Engineering, Government College of Engineering, Salem, 2019". If you have an M.Tech in structures, geotechnical or transportation, add it.
Some engineers hold a municipal licence to sign building plans, or a contractor registration with the state. These help a contractor's biodata a lot. Use Add Your Own Field with a name such as "Licence" and a short line: "Licensed Structural Engineer, Pune Municipal Corporation". Only write it if you really hold it.

A girl civil engineer can use the same pattern. If you work in design or planning, the About Me line can say "Office job in Gachibowli, 9:30 to 6, hybrid on Fridays". That one detail answers a lot of quiet questions.

Give the average yearly income of the last two or three years, not the turnover of the firm. "About ₹12 lakh per year" is enough.
Is a Site Job a Weak Point in a Biodata?
No. Many families are comfortable with it once they know the facts. Write it plainly with the project and time frame.
Should I Add My M.Tech or GATE Score?
Add the M.Tech in Education. A GATE score is worth a line only if you got a PSU job through it, and then the job line says that already.
