Telugu Marriage Biodata Format for a Girl

Telugu Marriage Biodata Format for a Girl

A Telugu marriage biodata for a girl follows the same order as a boy's: personal details, jatakam, family, contact. Two things are different in practice. Her education is written in full, with the subject and the university, and there is one sentence on whether she will keep working after marriage. The phone number is almost always a parent's.

Below are two filled samples. Both are made up.

Sample 1, a Working Daughter

This girl teaches maths in a private school in Visakhapatnam. The family is from Rajamahendravaram.

Her About Me can carry the one line the boy's side will ask about: "I have taught maths at a private school in Visakhapatnam for three years and want to continue teaching after marriage. If we move, I will look for a school there. I have learnt Kuchipudi since childhood."

Rohini falls wholly inside Vrishabha rasi. If the star and the rasi on your daughter's biodata do not agree like this, check the jatakam once more.

Sample 2, a Daughter at Home

Not every girl is working, and that is fine. Write the truth plainly. An empty job row makes people guess.

Job / OccupationCompleted B.Com, at home now, preparing for bank exams
Marital StatusNever Married

"Preparing for bank exams" tells the boy's family what she is doing and what she hopes for, in six words.

What the Boy's Family Asks First

Most families look at education, job, height and the family. After that, three questions come up again and again:

  • Will she work after marriage, and can she move to another city?
  • Is the family vegetarian?
  • Are her brothers and sisters married?

Answer the first in the last sentence of About Me. Diet has its own row under Add More Details, with Vegetarian, Non-Vegetarian, Eggetarian, Vegan and Jain Food. Siblings print with the married count beside them. Our About Me for a girl page has more lines to adapt.

Write Education in Full

"M.Sc" alone makes the other side ask which subject and which university. Write "M.Sc (Mathematics), B.Ed, Andhra University". If she is still studying, give the course and the year it ends: "M.Tech final year, ends 2027". The boy's family can then plan the muhurtham around it.

Whose Number to Give

Give the mother's or the father's number, not the girl's own. A pelli biodata goes through community WhatsApp groups and pelli peddalu (the elders who bring proposals), and nobody can say whose phone it reaches. Use the Contact Person row to write who will take the call.

For the address, the town and area are enough. Remove the Address row from its three-dot menu if you do not want it at all.

Chi.La.Sow Before Her Name

Chi.La.Sow. (Chiranjeevi Lakshmi Sowbhagyavathi) is the respectful prefix Telugu wedding cards print before the bride's name. A few families also write it on the biodata, and most do not. If you want it, type it in the Full Name row. It counts towards the 60 characters that row takes.

The Photo

The photo is optional and our biodata takes one. A clear, recent photo in daylight is best. A saree or a churidar, whichever she likes. The frame is a 7:9 upright rectangle like a passport photo, so a photo from the head to the waist fits well. Avoid filters and beauty mode.

The Top of the Biodata

Many Telugu girls' biodatas start with "Srirastu Subhamastu Avighnamastu" or "Sri Venkateswara Swamy Prasanna". Our Telugu header lines page explains each line and what it means.

Making It for Your Daughter

Open the biodata templates, choose Female under "This Biodata Is For" and type her name. The mobile number is verified with an OTP before the first download. Pick Telugu as the language, or make a Telugu biodata here.

Rasi, nakshatram with padam and lagnam fill in from her birth details. The kuja dosham row does not fill itself. Look at her jatakam and choose No, Yes, Partial or Don't Know. All 66 designs suit a girl, and 63 are free.

Common questions

Does a Girl's Biodata Need a Different Format?

No. The order is the same as a boy's. The education line and the work-after-marriage sentence get more attention.

Should Her Income Be Written?

It is optional. Some families write it for a working daughter. If you do, write the yearly figure in lakh.

Is the Complexion Row Needed?

No. Complexion is optional under Add More Details. The photo is enough.

Can I Write Property or Gold Details?

Do not. Those are for the elders to discuss in person, not for a page that travels through groups.

Where Can I See English Samples?

Our biodata for marriage for girl page has English samples with the same rows.
