A Punjabi boy's biodata for marriage needs his name, date, time and place of birth, height, education, exact job and income, got, family and native place. Hindu Punjabi families add the kundli rows with manglik status. Below is a complete sample for a Hindu Punjabi boy, followed by what changes for a Sikh boy and for a boy who lives abroad.
Every name, number and place in the sample is made up.

Why the Sample Is Written This Way
The job line has the post, the kind of company and the city. "Software engineer" alone makes the girl's father call to ask where. That call often turns into a long interview.
Income is a plain yearly figure in rupees. Girls' families ask. If you would rather not print it, be ready to say it on the phone.
The About Me has small facts. Not a list of good qualities. Rajma on Sundays tells a family more than "caring and family-oriented" ever will.
The address stops at the area and city. House number later.
The contact is the father. In most Punjabi homes the first talk is between the elders, and the boy speaks only after both sides are comfortable.
For a Sikh Boy
A Sikh boy's biodata changes in four places:
- The symbol is the Khanda or Ik Onkar, and the line is Ik Onkar Satgur Prasad.
- Religion is Sikh. The horoscope section switches off by itself.
- Add a "Got" row with Add Your Own Field, since the Gotra row is inside the horoscope section.
- Add a faith line, for example "Keshdhari, wears a turban" or "Amritdhari". Families looking for a Gursikh match read this line first.
Our filled Sikh boy biodata sample shows a complete version.
For a Boy Living Abroad
A boy in Canada, the UK or Australia needs his status written exactly. "Settled abroad" makes the girl's side suspicious. Write "Canada PR, Brampton, warehouse supervisor since 2021" or "Work permit, Melbourne, valid till 2028".
Add a row "Status Abroad" with Add Your Own Field in Personal Details. Keep the contact person in India, usually the father, so families here can call without time-zone trouble. Our guide to an NRI biodata for Canada covers this in detail.
Making It with Your Son's Details
Choose "This Biodata Is For: Male", enter his full name, and verify your mobile number with an OTP. Pick English or Punjabi as the biodata language. You can switch later without losing anything you typed.
The download is an A4 PDF and a JPG image, and the next screen offers a free Word file of the same biodata. You can make a Punjabi biodata here, or open the biodata designs and start from the one you like. More boy samples in English are on our biodata for boy page.
Common questions
What Should a Punjabi Boy Write in His Biodata?
Name, birth details, height, education, exact job and income, got, parents and siblings, native place and a contact number. Hindu families add rashi, nakshatra and manglik.
Is Income Necessary on a Boy's Biodata?
It is not required, but girls' families nearly always ask. Write a true yearly figure, or be ready to say it in the first call.
Should the Photo Show the Turban?
If he wears a turban every day, yes. The photo should look like him on the day the families meet.
Can the Same Biodata Be Made in Punjabi?
Yes. Switch the biodata language to Punjabi. The labels change to Gurmukhi and your typed details stay as they are.
