The vivah muhurat dates in November 2026 are 21, 24, 25 and 26 November, as per Drik Panchang's marriage calendar for New Delhi. That is only 4 days. Nothing before 20 November qualifies, because Chaturmas ends only on Dev Uthani Ekadashi, which falls on Friday, 20 November 2026.
Prokerala's list for the same month is shorter and a little different. Both are given below, so you can see where they agree before you go to your family priest.
November 2026 Marriage Muhurat Dates
Drik Panchang marks these four days as having a marriage muhurat. The times are New Delhi local time, as shown on its page when we checked it on 15 October 2026.
| Date | Day | Muhurat time (New Delhi) | Nakshatra | Tithi |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 21 November 2026 | Saturday | 6:48 am to 12:08 am (night of 21 November) | Revati | Dwadashi |
| 24 November 2026 | Tuesday | 11:25 pm to 6:52 am on 25 November | Rohini | Pratipada |
| 25 November 2026 | Wednesday | 6:52 am to 6:52 am on 26 November | Rohini, Mrigashira | Pratipada, Dwitiya |
| 26 November 2026 | Thursday | 6:52 am to 5:47 pm | Mrigashira | Dwitiya, Tritiya |
Drik Panchang says these dates are worked out with panchang shuddhi only. That means the day's tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana pass the rules. The lagna, the exact rising sign for the ceremony, is a separate step.
How Prokerala's List Compares
Prokerala's 2026 marriage muhurat page shows two windows in November:
- 20 November, a daytime window in Uttara Bhadrapada nakshatra
- 25 November evening to 26 November evening, in Rohini nakshatra
So 25 and 26 November are on both lists. 21 and 24 November are only on Drik Panchang. 20 November is only on Prokerala.
Why the gap? Drik Panchang treats 20 November as partly inside Chaturmas, because Dev Uthani Ekadashi itself falls that day. Prokerala's page uses its own default place and does not explain its method, so its clock times are not given here.
If your family wants the safest pick, choose a date both calendars agree on, and then ask your priest to fix the lagna.
Day-by-Day Details
Saturday, 21 November is the only weekend day in the month with a muhurat. The window is long, from 6:48 am to just after midnight. It is also the day of Tulasi Vivah in the Drik Panchang festival list, so temples and halls in many towns will be busy.
Tuesday, 24 November has a night muhurat, starting at 11:25 pm. The same date is Kartika Purnima, Guru Nanak Jayanti and Dev Diwali. A night wedding works well for families who follow the custom of a late-night pheras ceremony.
Wednesday, 25 November is the fullest day. The muhurat covers the whole panchang day, sunrise to sunrise, in Rohini and then Mrigashira.
Thursday, 26 November has a muhurat until 5:47 pm. After that, Drik Panchang shows no marriage date until 2 December.
A note on night-time windows. In the panchang, a day runs from sunrise to the next sunrise. So a time like "11:25 pm to 6:52 am" belongs to the night of 24 November, even though the clock has already moved to 25 November.
Why Are There No Dates Before 20 November?
Chaturmas is the four-month period, from Devshayani Ekadashi to Dev Uthani Ekadashi, when most Hindu families in North and Central India do not hold weddings. In 2026 it ends on 20 November.
Diwali (Lakshmi Puja) falls on Sunday, 8 November 2026. Many families think the wedding season starts right after Diwali. It does not. There are still 12 days of Chaturmas left after Diwali, and Drik Panchang marks every one of them as closed for marriage.
Why Some Days Later in the Month Are Missing
The days between the four dates are missing for reasons the panchang shows day by day. On Drik Panchang:
| Dates | Reason given |
|---|---|
| 1 to 19 November | Chaturmas |
| 20 November | Partly inside Chaturmas |
| 22, 23 and 27 to 29 November | No suitable nakshatra |
| 30 November | An unsuitable yoga spoils the nakshatra |
Only 11 nakshatras are accepted for marriage in this method, Rohini, Mrigashira, Magha, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Swati, Anuradha, Mula, Uttara Ashadha, Uttara Bhadrapada and Revati. Every November 2026 date falls in one of them, as the table above shows.
Do South Indian and Bengali Calendars Give the Same Dates?
Not always. Drik Panchang's list follows the North Indian lunar calendar. Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Bengali families use their own panchangam or panjika, and the dates can differ.
For Tamil families, the solar month of Karthigai starts in mid-November 2026. The Sun enters Vrishchika on 16 November 2026 at 7:48 pm, New Delhi time, as per Drik Panchang's sankranti list. Tamil muhurtham days in Karthigai are picked from the Tamil panchangam, so check the one your family uses, or ask the temple priest who fixes muhurthams in your town.
The safest rule for any region is the same. Use these lists only to shortlist, and let your own priest or jothidar confirm.
Engagement and Roka Dates in November 2026
Engagement functions, like the nichayathartham, roka or sagai, are usually held on a good day chosen by the family priest. Many families pick one of the marriage muhurat days, or a day close to it.
We have not listed separate engagement dates here, because we could only check the marriage list against two panchangs. Ask your priest for the engagement date when you fix the wedding date.
How to Choose the Time on the Day
Pick the date first, then ask the priest for the lagna. The muhurat window on the calendar is the outer limit. Inside it, the priest picks a shorter slot, often 1 to 2 hours, when a good lagna is rising.
Give the priest both horoscopes if you have them. Many priests check that the lagna does not fall in the 8th house from the bride's or groom's moon sign. Our guide to the 2026 season after Diwali explains how the dates of November and December fit together.
Booking Tips for November 2026
With only 4 dates, halls and priests will be booked fast. Here is what helps:
- Call the hall on the day you shortlist the date. Do not wait for the engagement.
- If 21 November is full, ask about 25 November. It has a muhurat at any hour of the day.
- Book the priest along with the hall. A priest may have three weddings on 25 November.
- If November is too soon, December 2026 has 7 dates. See our December 2026 muhurat list.
Our month-by-month wedding checklist shows what else to book in the first weeks.
Families still at the proposal stage can pick a biodata design and fill it in first. The biodata can carry the date, time and place of birth, which the priest needs for any match or muhurat.
Every month's dates and the periods to avoid are listed in our wedding muhurat section.
Common questions
How Many Marriage Muhurat Days Are There in November 2026?
Drik Panchang lists 4 days for New Delhi, on 21, 24, 25 and 26 November 2026. Prokerala lists windows on 20 November and on 25 to 26 November.
Which November 2026 Date Is Best for Marriage?
25 November has the longest window, a full day in Rohini and Mrigashira, and it is on both Drik Panchang and Prokerala. The best date for your family depends on both horoscopes, so ask your priest to confirm.
Is There a Weekend Wedding Date in November 2026?
Yes, one. Saturday, 21 November 2026 has a muhurat from 6:48 am to 12:08 am, as per Drik Panchang for New Delhi.
Are the Timings the Same in Every City?
No. The tithi and nakshatra change at the same moment everywhere in India, but sunrise does not, and the panchang day starts at sunrise. Open the Drik Panchang page and set your own city before you print anything.
Can We Marry on Dev Uthani Ekadashi, 20 November 2026?
Prokerala shows a muhurat that day and Drik Panchang does not. Some families treat Dev Uthani Ekadashi as an auspicious day in itself, so this is a question for your family priest.
