Vivah Muhurat May 2027, All 18 Marriage Dates with Timings

May 2027 has 18 vivah muhurat days on Drik Panchang's marriage calendar for New Delhi: 4, 7, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 May. That is the highest count of any month in 2027. Akshaya Tritiya, on Sunday 9 May, is one of them.

Yes, you can get married in May 2027, and you will have plenty of choice. The catch is the heat and the competition, because every other family has the same idea.

May 2027 Marriage Muhurat Dates

Times are New Delhi local time, as shown on Drik Panchang on 15 October 2026.

Look closely at 16 May. Sunday is listed, but the window opens at 2:43 am, which on the clock is Monday 17 May. A panchang day runs from sunrise to sunrise, so the pre-dawn hours count with Sunday.

The days from 13 to 25 May form an unbroken run of 13 dates. Many windows in that run are at night, which suits a North Indian summer, when an evening baraat and night pheras are common anyway.

How Prokerala's May List Compares

Prokerala's 2027 page has 8 windows in May:

Seven of the eight overlap with Drik Panchang. The odd one is 3 May. Drik Panchang leaves that day out because, in its words, an unsuitable yoga covers most of the day. If a priest suggests 3 May, ask which panchang he is using.

Is Akshaya Tritiya 2027 Good for Marriage?

Akshaya Tritiya is on Sunday, 9 May 2027. Many North Indian families treat it as an abujh muhurat, a day that needs no separate muhurat. In 2027 it is also a regular muhurat day on Drik Panchang, from 5:35 am to 7:42 pm, in Mrigashira nakshatra.

One detail is worth knowing. Drik Panchang shows the Tritiya tithi ending at 9:03 am on 9 May. Prokerala's window that day also closes at 9:03 am. Why Some May Days Are Missing

There is no Kharmas or Chaturmas in May 2027, so these day-level reasons are the only gaps.

Weekend Dates in May 2027

For a Saturday evening wedding, 15 May is the best pick. For a Sunday daytime wedding, 9 May and 30 May have the longest windows.

Is Jyeshtha Month a Problem for the Eldest Child?

Jyeshtha begins on 21 May 2027 in the North Indian (purnimanta) calendar, as Drik Panchang's festival list shows Narada Jayanti on Jyeshtha Krishna Pratipada that day. Some families follow a custom of not marrying their eldest son or daughter in Jyeshtha.

Drik Panchang's marriage list does not apply this custom, so dates from 21 May onwards still appear. If your family keeps it, the dates from 4 to 20 May are the ones to look at. Your family priest will know whether the custom applies to you.

Do Tamil, Telugu and Bengali Calendars Agree?

These dates follow the solar-month rules that Drik Panchang uses across India. Regional panchangams publish their own lists.

For Tamil families, May 2027 covers the end of Chithirai and the start of Vaikasi, which begins with the Sun's move into Rishabam on 15 May. Bengali families are in Boishakh and then Jyoishtho. Check your own panchangam or panjika with the priest before printing cards.

Engagement and Roka Dates in May 2027

Drik Panchang and Prokerala do not publish separate engagement lists. Families usually pick one of the marriage days, or a day the priest gives. Booking Tips for May 2027

1. Book 9 May and 15 May early. A festival Sunday and a Saturday with a long window will fill first.
2. Plan for heat. Day temperatures across much of North India are at their peak in May, so keep outdoor functions to the evening and arrange water and shade for elders.
3. School holidays start in many states in May, which helps relatives travel but also pushes up train and flight fares. Book tickets once the date is fixed.
4. If you want a date both panchang sites agree on, choose from 7, 9, 16, 23, 24, 30 and 31 May.
5. Ask the priest for the lagna slot early. Drik Panchang does not fix the lagna, only the outer window.
