How Does the App Fill in the Horoscope?

The app calculates the moon's position at the moment of birth, using the sidereal zodiac and Lahiri ayanamsa (also called Chitrapaksha), which is widely used in India. The moon's sign gives the rasi and its position within the 27 stars gives the nakshatra. The lagna (ascendant) comes from the time and the place together.

All three appear in the form as soon as the birth details are in. If your family jothidar wrote something different, type over it.

A Filled Horoscope Section

This is a made-up girl from Varanasi. The name and family are invented. The horoscope values came from our calculator, using the birth details shown.

One detail in this sample is worth a look. The moon moved from Vrishabha into Mithuna only about five minutes before 8:25 pm. Had the time been written as 8:15 pm, the rasi would have printed as Vrishabha. That is why the exact minute matters.

What Does the Biodata Not Print?

The biodata prints the values, not a chart. There is no rasi kattam, navamsa or kundli chart on any of our designs.

If the other family asks for the full kundli or jathagam chart, send the one your family astrologer made, as a separate file along with the biodata. An astrologer matching two horoscopes usually asks for that chart anyway.

What If You Do Not Know the Time of Birth?

Leave Time of Birth empty. The rasi and nakshatra can still come from the date and place, but the lagna cannot be worked out without a time.

Look for the time in the hospital discharge papers, an old horoscope note, or ask an elder who was there. If the star changed on your birth date, ask your family astrologer which one to use before you print.

Can You Make a Marriage Biodata Without Horoscope?

Yes. If your family does not match horoscopes, clear the horoscope values and check the preview. Muslim and Christian biodatas do not print a horoscope at all by default.

To say it politely, add one line to About Me: "Horoscope matching is not a criterion for our family." That line saves both sides a question.

For a North Indian family that wants gotra and manglik on the page, the Hindu marriage biodata shows a full sample.

Common Questions

Which Ayanamsa Does the Calculator Use?

Lahiri ayanamsa, on the sidereal zodiac. Traditional Vakya panchangs, which some Tamil families follow, can give a slightly different star near a boundary. If your family horoscope says otherwise, use it.

Why Is My Nakshatra Different from My Old Horoscope?

Usually the birth time is different by a few minutes, or the old horoscope used another ayanamsa. Check the time first, then edit the value to match the horoscope your family trusts.

Does the App Decide If I Am Manglik?

No. You choose No, Yes, Partial or Don't Know in the Chevvai / Manglik field. Use whatever your family astrologer has told you.

Can I Add the Horoscope Later?

Yes. The biodata is saved on your mobile number. Open it again, type the time and place of birth, and the rasi, nakshatra and lagna fill in. Then download a fresh copy.
