A Christian marriage biodata in English has the usual Personal, Family and Contact sections, with a cross at the top, an optional Bible verse, and two lines other biodatas do not carry: Church / Parish and the denomination. Religion reads "Christian". There is no horoscope section.
English is the most common language for Christian biodatas in India. Families in Kerala, Goa, Mangaluru, the North East, Chennai, Delhi and Punjab use it, and so do most NRI families.

Church / Parish and Denomination
Church / Parish is under Add More Details in the Personal Details section. Write the church and the place: "St. Mary's Church, Bandra" or "CNI Church, Civil Lines, Ludhiana". For Catholic families, the parish also tells the other side the diocese.
Our maker has no separate Denomination row. Most families want one, because a CSI family and a Pentecostal family may talk very differently about a match. Two easy ways:
- Type the denomination in the Caste / Community row and rename that row to "Denomination" from its three-dot menu.
- Or use Add Your Own Field: field name "Denomination", detail "Roman Catholic", "CSI", "Mar Thoma", "Baptist" or whatever applies.
Some families also want the community line, for example Syrian Christian, Knanaya, Nadar or Mangalorean Catholic. Use the Caste / Community row for that and add the denomination as your own field.
Baptism Name and Other Lines
Catholic families in Kerala, Goa and Mangaluru often use a baptism name in church that differs from the school name. If the other family will hear it in the parish, add it with Add Your Own Field: "Baptism Name".
Other lines some families add:
| Field name | Example |
|---|---|
| Diocese | Archdiocese of Bombay |
| Mother's Family | Fernandes family, Moodbidri |
| Vicar / Pastor | Name and church, only if he has agreed |
The Cross and the Verse at the Top
Choose the Cross symbol. An English biodata starts with the Blessing Line switched off, so switch it on. The list then offers the built-in verse: "God is love", 1 John 4:8, from the King James Version.
Families who want a different verse type it with Write My Own. Two that are often used, in the King James wording:
- Ecclesiastes 4:12, "a threefold cord is not quickly broken."
- Proverbs 18:22, "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing", used by some families on a son's biodata.
Copy the verse exactly from the Bible your family reads. Catholic and Protestant translations differ in wording.
For the title, the choices are Marriage Biodata, Biodata, Bio-Data and Biodata for Marriage.
What to Leave Out
Choose Christian as the religion and the Horoscope section switches off by itself, so no Rasi, Nakshatra or Chevvai / Manglik rows appear. Time of Birth sits in Personal Details. Remove it from the row's three-dot menu if you do not want it.
Gotra is a Hindu and Jain line, and it lives inside the Horoscope section, so it does not show up either.

The next screen offers a free Word file (.docx) of the same biodata, which opens in Microsoft Word, so you can change a line later. A free download carries a small "Made free at hellobiodata.com" line, and Biodata Plus at ₹29 removes it.
Families who want the same biodata in an Indian language can switch the language and keep every detail. See our Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu versions.
