Blank Biodata Format for Marriage

A blank biodata format for marriage is the list of fields in the right order, with space to write against each. The full list is below, ready to copy or print. We do not offer an empty form to download. Our maker turns the same fields into a typed, filled biodata, free.

The Blank Format, Field by Field

These are the fields our maker uses, in its order. Fields marked "optional" are often left out. That is normal.

At the top of the page, leave room for a photo on the right, and write the God's name or blessing line in the centre, then "Marriage Biodata" and the full name.

Filling a Blank Format by Hand

Use a blue or black pen and write on plain A4 paper. Name in capitals. Keep one spelling for each word and stick to it, so "Kashyap" does not become "Kashyapa" two lines later.

Write the time of birth exactly as the hospital record shows it. A night birth written as 3:05 pm instead of am changes the lagna completely.

If a row does not apply, draw a short line across it instead of leaving it empty. An empty row looks forgotten.

What Families Leave Out of the First Copy

The first copy may reach many people you do not know. Plenty of families give only the city instead of the full address, and leave Annual Income and Property for when the talks move ahead. The biodata format page explains each section in more detail.

When Typing It Is Easier than Writing

A handwritten biodata is fine, and some elders even prefer it. But if it will go out on WhatsApp, a photo of a handwritten page is hard to read on a small screen.

Our maker asks for the same fields one by one on your phone and lays them out on a design. You download a filled biodata as a PDF, a JPG image and an editable Word file. Change one line later and download again, with no rewriting. Start from the simple one-page format if you want only the main details.

Common Questions

Is There a Blank Biodata PDF or Word File to Download?

No. We do not offer an empty file. Every PDF, image and Word file we make comes filled with your details. Copy the list on this page if you want to write by hand.

Which Fields Must Be in a Marriage Biodata?

Full name, date of birth, height, education, job, the parents' names and occupations, brothers and sisters, native place and one mobile number. Families that follow horoscopes also expect rasi, nakshatra and lagna.

What If We Do Not Know the Exact Time of Birth?

Write the date and place, and leave the time out. Rasi and nakshatra can often still be worked out from the date, but the lagna needs the time. Ask the family astrologer, or check the hospital discharge card.

Can I Fill the Blank Format in Hindi or Marathi?

Yes, by hand you can write in any language. In our maker, choose the Biodata Language from 12 options, and the field names print in that language too.

How Many Pages Should a Blank Biodata Format Have?

One page is best. If the family details run long, two pages is fine. Keep the most important rows on page one.
